Revival of Love with Intentional Efforts

Knowledge base

Have you ever expected God to do everything, only to realize He left a small part for you to handle?

What lesson did you learn from that situation?

Core content

God performs the greatest works, but He invites us to contribute small efforts. These little steps; obedience, kindness, forgiveness, prayer; are vital for reviving love in our relationship with Him and with people.

Learning together

A. God Does the Greater Work, We Do the Smaller: Genesis 2:19–20: God created the animals, but Adam named them. Partnership in love requires participation.

In Exodus 7 and Numbers 20:8–11, God brought water from the rock, but Moses struck it with the rod. Obedience in action demonstrates trust.

In Daniel 3, God quenched the fire, but Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had to step into the furnace. Love for God is proven by courageous steps.

In relationships, God provides grace, but we must add effort: listening, apologizing, encouraging, praying together.

B. Effort and Work in Physics and Faith

• Physics teaches: Force = Mass × Acceleration; Work = Force × Distance.

• God supplies infinite force; we supply obedience and action.

• Faith without effort is incomplete (James 2:17).

• In love, small consistent actions (like patience or forgiveness) multiply into revival.

C. Partnership with God and Others:

God works as if we are part of His team. He delights in involving us in His plans. Refusing to act may cause us to miss out on His miracles. In human relationships, refusing to add effort (like communication or kindness) can block revival of love.

Personal Application

• Where have you been passive in love, toward God or toward others?

• Take a small step today: pray, forgive, encourage, or reach out.

Summary

Little efforts, though small, are vital for reviving love. God works with us as if we are part of His team. Our obedience and intentionality spark revival in our relationship with Him and with others.
