God does not assess us by human standards. He uses divine principles to measure our responsibility and response.

This study explores two foundational rules of divine assessment: Responsibility for what is given, and Reciprocity for what is received.

RULE 1: Much Given, Much Expected: Luke 12:48b. Every gift, opportunity, or position comes with divine expectations.

• Adam: He was given dominion, but tested with self-control and relational stewardship (Genesis 2 and Genesis 3).

• Moses: He was given leadership, but judged for emotional mismanagement at the rock (Numbers 20:7–12).

• Phinehas: He was given spiritual discernment, and responded swiftly to sin with holy zeal (Numbers 25:6–13).

• The truth: God’s measurement is personal. He assesses not just what you do, but how you respond to what He gives.

Important Question: What has God entrusted to you, and how are you managing it: your emotions, relationships, or responsibilities?

RULE 2: Give and It Shall Be Given: Luke 6:38. Receiving creates a spiritual debt; a responsibility to give back.

• Love, encouragement, support, and resources must be reciprocated.

• When you receive and withhold, you break the divine chain of generosity.

• Warning: Habitual withholding makes you a spiritual debtor. God watches how you respond to blessings.

Personal Application

• Take inventory of what God has given you; talents, time, relationships, resources.

• Ask yourself: What is God expecting from me in return?

• Practice intentional giving; not just financially, but emotionally and spiritually.

• Be a faithful steward, not a passive recipient.

Summary

God’s rules of assessment are clear: responsibility and reciprocity. When much is given, much is expected. When something is received, something must be returned. Live with awareness, give with intention, and respond with integrity. God is watching; not just what you do, but how you do it.
